"Gods gone silent"
Collection 2026
Kathrin Burghardt is a German painter and former journalist. After 3-years-training as a professional wood sculptor and studying art history and literature in Berlin, she developed a figurative painting practice that combines Renaissance influences with contemporary Neo-Symbolism.
"Gods gone silent" is a series about silence. Ancient gods appear not as heroes but as fragile beings caught in intimate moments of humanity.
Contemporary Neo-Symbolism painter
"I paint silence. Not the absence of sound, but those rare moments when a person is fully present with themselves. The space between two thoughts." (Kathrin Burghardt)
